The lost Giants draft that sums up their roster issues

It’s difficult to completely swing and miss on an entire draft class.

But it appears that’s what Joe Schoen and the Giants did with their 2023 haul.

A crop of young players who were supposed to be part of a rebuild and become impact contributors are instead providing almost no value. As the class begins its third season in the league, a point in their careers when they should be coming into their own, they’re instead falling off the map.

Their struggles and lack of involvement in the Giants’ Week 1 loss to the Commanders helped quickly restore bad vibes — eerily similar to last year’s nightmare — surrounding the team immediately after an optimistic offseason and preseason.
