ICE kills migrant who left agent with horrific injuries by dragging him with his CAR

An illegal migrant has been shot dead after he resisted arrest by ICE agents and caused one horrific injuries by dragging the officer with his car.

Silverio Villegas-Gonzalez was an undocumented immigrant with a history of reckless driving. 

Immigration Customs Enforcement agents attempted to stop his car, but he resisted. 

Villegas-Gonzalez reportedly drove his car into the arrest team and hit an agent, dragging him ‘a significant distance with his car’ as he tried to flee the scene, per NBC. 

Another agent shot the suspect in response. A spokesperson said he was ‘fearing for his life.’

Both the injured agent and Villegas-Gonzalez were transported to the hospital. 

Villegas-Gonzalez was pronounced dead on arrival. 

The officer hit by the car has severe injuries but is in stable condition. 

The traffic stop took place 15 miles west of Chicago, in Franklin Park, IL.

The suspect resisted arrest, attempting to flee in his car. He hit and dragged and ICE agent as he drove away

In a statement obtained by CNN, the Department of Homeland Security wrote: ‘We are praying for the speedy recovery of our law enforcement officer. 

‘He followed his training, used appropriate force, and properly enforced the law to protect the public and law enforcement.

‘Viral social media videos and activists encouraging illegal aliens to resist law enforcement not only spread misinformation, but also undermine public safety, as well as the safety of our officers and those being apprehended.’

A witness took a video after Villegas-Gonzalez drove his car into  the witness’s trailer. 

Blood was splattered across the road and agents were tending to a body. 

A nearby high school and middle school were placed into ‘secure protocol’ because of the violent traffic stop. 

The schools informed parents that classroom learning would continue, but students may be prevented from leaving the schools until police resolve the situation. 

FBI officials confirmed there was no threat to public safety.
