CNN accused of SECOND Charlie Kirk shooting scandal as lawmaker accuses them of selective editing
Florida Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna ripped into cable news channel CNN for their portrayal of her remarks on the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk
Posting on X, Luna tore into the cable news outlet for airing an ‘edited clip’ of her response to her Democratic colleagues after they booed a motion from fellow conservative Lauren Boebert to hold a prayer for Kirk’s family while his condition was unknown. The CNN clip did not include Boebert’s prayer request, or the Democrats’ rambunctious response that preceded Luna’s remark.
Luna continued in her X post that ‘when asked simply to pray for a grieving family, they booed. That behavior is disgusting. This edited clip is yet another example of how far CNN will go, and how low they’ll sink, for ratings.’
CNN host Kaitlan Collins replied to Luna’s critique over 12 hours later, writing on X, ‘Actually, we just aired a clip of what happened on the House floor and then asked the Republican Speaker Mike Johnson about what happened. We also asked the Democratic congressman we had on later in the show about it.’
Following Boebert’s request for the prayer, some Democrats, clearly against the request for prayer, began cheering in unison ‘No!’ There were about a dozen Democrats who protested against the prayers for Kirk.
One unidentified Democrat blurted out: ‘Pass some gun laws!’
The liberal lawmakers’ rejection of the prayer immediately enraged Republicans.
‘You f***ing own this!’ screamed Florida Republican Anna Paulina Luna.

CNN has also drawn fierce criticism for refusing to acknowledge the transgender messages found engraved on bullets used in Charlie Kirk’s assassination, instead describing them only as “phrases related to cultural issues.”
The Wall Street Journal first reported that bullets were “engraved with transgender and antifascist ideology” based on an ATF notice, but CNN’s sanitized coverage has sparked accusations of “gaslighting” and “shameless” reporting from critics who say the network is deliberately obscuring key details about the killer’s apparent motive.
Luna accused Democrats earlier in the day of being the origin of the violence against Kirk.
‘I am done with the rhetoric this rotten House and corrupt media has caused,’ she posted on X shortly after the news of the shooting broke. ‘Every d*** one of you who called us fascists did this.’
Republican Congresswoman Nancy Mace echoed Luna’s comments when speaking with reporters outside of the Capitol following Wednesday’s floor session.
‘Democrats own what happened today,’ Mace told members of the press.
