Active Shooter on Emory University Campus in Atlanta: ‘RUN, HIDE, FIGHT’

An active shooting incident has taken place at Emory University in Atlanta, a campus police spokesperson confirms to PEOPLE.

At around 5 p.m., Emory University issued an alert warning of an “active shooter” at the CVS on campus, urging people to “RUN, HIDE, FIGHT” and avoid the area.

In a separate message at 5:30 p.m., the Atlanta Police Department said its officers are responding to reports of an active shooter near 1760 Clifton Road in Atlanta.

It’s unclear if there are any injuries or fatalities.
