Horrified kids shout ‘Chuck E, No!’ as cops cuff mascot for credit card fraud

“We’re gonna detain the mouse!”

Chaotic bodycam video has captured the moment horrified children screamed out “Chuck E, no!” as Florida cops moved in to cuff a Chuck E. Cheese mascot for alleged credit card theft.

The bizarre saga erupted when Jermell Jones, who was dressed in full-rodent costume at the time, was dragged out of the entertainment center in Tallahassee in the middle of a child’s birthday party back on July 23.

The newly released footage shows the officers strolling into the venue and announcing they are going to bust the 41-year-old mascot as stunned kids and parents watched on.

“Chuck E! Come with me. Chuck E! Stop resisting! You’re being detained,” an officer told the alleged crook.

Kids could be heard shouting out, “Chuck E, no” and “What are you doing?” as the furry alleged fraudster was being hauled away.

One furious parent slammed cops for carrying out the dramatic arrest in front of the youngsters — as the officers told her, “Chuck E’s a little bit busy, ma’am.”

“I would like y’all to walk him out the door instead of traumatizing all these children seeing someone like Chuck E Cheese get arrested,” the woman raged in the clip.

“Would y’all put Mickey Mouse in handcuffs?”

But cops stood by their guns and defended their decision to do the mid-party arrest, saying: “We’re gonna detain the mouse.”

Jones was nabbed after he allegedly stole a female patron’s credit card and then went on a spending spree.

He had reportedly been busted for the same crime six months earlier.

News of his arrest went viral at the time after photos showed his Jones still wearing his mascot uniform as he was led from the venue.

Another image showed his mouse head sitting on top of a cop car as he was being questioned outside.

Jones ended up being slapped with a slew of charges over the saga — including theft of a credit card, criminal use of personal identification information and fraudulent use of a credit card totaling over $100.
